A little preaching.
🔹You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail- Proverbs 19:21
I have always been the type of person that tried to plan everything. I wanted to have my whole life planned out from today, tomorrow to a year from now. Up until I met Bradley I was able to plan every step in my life but once we met our life together happened very unplanned. Within the first year of meeting Bradley we started dating, got pregnant, moved in together, got married & had our first child.
June 18, 2014 our divorce was final. That date was special to us because it was our wedding anniversary. Our divorce was one of the hardest most unplanned things I have ever had to go through. Coming from having everything planned and then having a lifestyle change where I didn't even know where to start planning mine and Owen's new life was very stressful.
John chapter 13:7 " You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand
After about two and a half months of making the best of life I could on my own I started going to church with a girlfriend of mine and decided I was going to start living right. Bradley decided he wanted his family back- I remember telling him "if we are going to make this work we are going to need God's help cause we can't do it on our own" Just like Jeremiah 29 11-14 says:
For I know the plans I have for you declares the lord, plans for welfare and not for evil. To give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me and when you seek me with all your heart I will be found by you declares the lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
God restored my fortunes and mine & Bradley's life together. I have learned that it is ok to not have your life all planned out because God's plan is way better than any plan we can have for ourselves. No matter how much you try to plan your life you can't stop God's plan. God has a purpose for your life. He makes a way where we don't see a way. We don't have to stay worried, stressed out or try to fix everything ourselves.. All we have to do is keep God #1 and it will all work out.
