Being Joyful

Tonight my devotion was on Joy, which was very fitting. Here lately I have prayed that God would help me find the JOY  in all things.  It's very easy for something to go wrong & then the pity party starts. Car trouble, problem at work, all kinds of daily struggles that deplete us. Our minds quickly start focusing on all the bad & forget all the good. God's love is endless. He is always there for us, No Matter What!!  Once we begin to follow God & trust in him, he will help us get through any storm and will help us  find Joy. Today I am thankful for the Joy I feel & I pray God surrounds me with it, fills me with it & helps me share it with others.  The lord your God will bless you in your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. Deuteronomy 16:15  -Kymberly

Closing 2017

It has been a while since I have blogged, it's hard finding the time nowdays but I am going to try to get back in the habit. Life is good. Basketball, work, school, church, sleep, & repeat. LOL! When did life get so busy & go by so fast!! 2017 has been a great year. Our baby girl turned ONE & is working on potty training. Our big man started KINDERGARTEN, Is playing basketball & he turned SIX!! I don't see how either one of those are possible--Seems just like yesterday Owen was a newborn. 2017 has brought a lot of new friendships, A new loving church family, A new job for me, and a great opportunity for Bradley.  This year we have focused more on where God wants us and less of where we want to be. My favorite scripture of all time is Proverbs 19:21 "You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail." Sometimes it's hard to let go and let God lead, but speaking from experience here- God's plan & God's timing is far...

Motherhood is a balance of holding on & letting go.

Tomorrow is my LAST Friday to spend with my son before he  starts Kindergarten next week. Every Friday since he has been born we have spent together. That's about 240 Friday's that have always been our day- whether  it was being lazy or staying busy all day we were always together.  I knew this day was coming & I have dreaded it from day one. It seems just like yesterday we were bringing Owen home from the hospital- First time parents, having no clue what to do or where to even start. And now we are getting ready to send him to Kindergarten.  How does time go by so fast? I am amazed at the young man Owen has grown into. I may be a little biased but he is the smarted, most handsome, funniest little boy. He strives to make someone laugh. He has the biggest heart & loves Jesus to the moon & back 250 times. Tomorrow I am spending every minute doing what Owen wants to do & cherishing my last Friday with him because time is going by so fast & just li...

All about Nora Kate

This time last year was when it all began. The back labor started, whatever that was..at the time I had no clue I just thought I had hurt my back- wrong! I put up with it for three hours & then it hit me-- I'm in labor!! My father in law came and got Owen and Bradley & I raced an hour away to the hospital. That was the longest ride to Huntsville ever It was just like the movies- I thought NK was going to be born in the car. We pulled up at hospital & both of us jumped out and by jumped out I mean Bradley left car unlocked, cranked and parked right in front of hospital. We busted through the doors and after having contractions thst would knock me down to the concrete, one door being locked, having to ask a security guard carrying a box of doughnuts where to go we finally got to the nurses desk where I told the nurses Nora Kate was coming- after being hooked up to monitors four minutes at 3:06 a.m Nora Kate was born--7lbs 12oz 19 inches long. She had red hair and blue eye...

Spring Break 2017

Ahh... Spring break week is here, luckily for me I have an AWESOME boss that closes for spring break so I get to spend some extra time with my babies!! We normally just stay home and do fun things around our hometown but not this year!! My husband took off work & we packed our bags and headed east, Far East-- to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. We have never traveled there before, we normally just end up in PCB and that's only because we are familiar with it. As soon as we got to Myrtle Beach & got out of our vehicle Bradley & I looked at each other & I said did we drive to Alaska? It was so windy & cold there!! We got unpacked and the fun started. This trip was probably the best trip we have ever been on.  It was filled with the pools, lazy river, the beach, shopping, sky wheel, aquarium, go karts, putt putt golf, an arcade, food, food & more food. Owen said he loved everything about this trip. Nora Kate loved the beach and the pool -- she just about fell asle...

The Lord's Will ✝️

It's been a while since I have blogged... life is so busy!! Nora Kate is about to be 9 months old, not sure how that is even possible!! Seems like just yesterday she was born. Owen is about to start Tee Ball & will be starting Kindegarten in August. Wow! I have been wanting to get back to blogging for a while now but didn't know what to blog about other than my kids. This morning the Lord laid this on my heart so I must share.  My favorite bible scripture of all time is "You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose  will prevail." Proverbs 19:21 I have always been a control freak, I like to know every detail and have everything planned out. I get so caught up in life that I try to do everything on my own instead of asking God to show me the best way to go. As many of you know, for the past couple of years we have been planning on Owen going to a certain school. We were recently told that due to where we live he could not go to that school unle...
