Hopeful Hoopers

This morning at church we were challenged to do a 21 day fast from something that takes our mind off Christ. A few church members chose to fast from Facebook, which got me to thinking... And I hate to admit it but as much as I get on social media I could of read the bible front to back numerous times. So with that being said, I chose to fast from social media of all kinds (including my blog) & sweet tea. The time I normally would spend on my social media I am going to spend in my bible. This starts tomorrow, so see y'all in 21 days!!  -KH

As of January 1st, our family of three all reside at one address again. (Praise God!!) We have started doing some remodeling and redecorating to make it look like a home & not just a house. Before the divorce If an argument would come up Bradley would always tell me this was HIS  house, not mine. (Bradley bought the house a couple weeks before we met) I never wanted the house, but he would still throw it in my face. That's exactly how it felt too.. Like his house. This time it feels completely different!! Granted the house still isn't in my name at all, but it feels like it's just as much mine as it is his. Now Any time I say your house or Bradley's house, he corrects me and tells me it's OUR house. I used to not put much time or money into remodeling our house, now all I do is look for stuff to buy, furniture to have built, and paint samples galore!! It's such a great feeling making decisions as a team now. That's how we have to treat life, fight it as...

I think the quote is a picture is worth a thousand words.. This picture especially. I never thought I would be able to share this, it was took Easter 2014... We looked so happy, but what you can't see in the picture is that Bradley & I hated one another, our marriage had failed and we were in the process of divorce. We went for Owen to get his picture made with the Easter bunny & they included a family pic for free. I remember even telling them we don't want a family picture, just one of Owen. For some reason we got the family picture, and I'm thankful for that because in my opinion it's the best family picture we have ever took. Today I am sharing the almost year old picture because I am so thankful that with God's help our family is back together, stronger than ever.  Easter 2014
